SLK Dauntless Widebody vs Elongated: published specifications

A source-checked comparison of Selkirk’s published dimensions, grip lengths, average weight, swing weight, twist weight, and shared construction fields for SLK Dauntless Widebody and Elongated paddles.

Published Sep 27, 2026 · Last checked Sep 27, 2026

The SLK Dauntless Widebody and SLK Dauntless Elongated are two configurations on Selkirk’s current Dauntless product page. They share Selkirk’s stated T700 Raw Carbon Fiber face, Raw Spin Technology surface, 16 mm SoloCore PureFoam core with an IsoFlex cutout, 4.25-inch grip circumference, and 7.7–8.1 oz average-weight range.

The primary published differences are the footprint, grip length, and Selkirk’s displayed average swing- and twist-weight figures. This is a comparison of source-published information—not a play test. The figures below are not treated as independent measurements or evidence that either configuration produces a particular result for a player.

Footprint and grip are the direct configuration differences

Selkirk lists the Widebody at 15.95 inches tall and 8 inches wide, with a 5.6-inch grip length. The Elongated is listed at 16.50 inches tall and 7.45 inches wide, with a 5.8-inch grip length. Those values identify the catalogued variants; they do not predict reach, control, comfort, or fit for an individual.

USA Pickleball’s 2026 Official Rulebook states that a paddle’s combined length and width may not exceed 24 inches and that paddle length may not exceed 17 inches. The rulebook also states that there is no restriction on paddle thickness. This rule context is not an approval determination for either configuration; verify current approval status through the official approved-paddle process if sanctioned-play eligibility matters.

Interpreting Selkirk’s displayed weight metrics carefully

Both variants carry the same published 7.7–8.1 oz average-weight range. Selkirk displays an average swing weight of 109 for Widebody and 118 for Elongated, plus average twist weights of 7.4 and 6.9, respectively. These are useful manufacturer comparison fields, but they are not substitutes for an individual-paddle measurement or a guarantee of swing behavior.

The shared face, surface, core, and core thickness labels indicate that the manufacturer presents these construction fields alike across the two variants. Those labels alone do not establish equal ball response, durability, power, spin, sweet spot, or player suitability.

How to use this comparison

  1. Match the exact Widebody or Elongated configuration before comparing a listing or a paddle already in hand.
  2. Treat the published dimensions and grip lengths as identification and fit-reference fields, rather than a performance promise.
  3. Keep the average-weight range distinct from a measurement of one retail paddle.
  4. Confirm current specifications and sanctioned-play eligibility with the relevant official sources before purchase or competition.
